A young boy named Bran sits on the outskirts of a forest, staring at the water of an abandoned beach. He wants to stay there for longer, but his parents call him to come in. He makes them promise to bring him back the next day, but that never happens. The boy grows, and he comes to see Earth fall as a result of human-made destruction. He never returns to the beach again but it persists, long after man has become extinct.
