A businessman receives a note from his wife’s father, asking for them to meet. The note mentions how the father’s daughter and son both do not want to speak with him. Since the dad has never met his son-in-law (the businessman), he would like to meet with him. The businessman goes home and tells his wife about the note. She is clearly upset, and talks about how her father is a scammer, but he won’t get any money from them. She tells the businessman to go so he can tell her father she will not see him and her children will not see him. The businessman goes to meet her father at the Waldorf Astoria. Once there, the father guesses how much money the businessman makes. The father asks for photos of his daughter and grandchildren, but the businessman does not have any on him. The father eventually tells the businessman he wants to set up a trust for the grandchildren for $70,000, no strings attached. The businessman is shocked, and then a woman enters their hotel room. The businessman assumes this woman is having a relationship with the father. When the businessman goes home, he tells his wife about what happened and about the trust fund. The wife immediately says they should not accept the trust, as it would be cheap and poor behavior. The businessman, however, knows he can convince her to take the money.
