In a universe called “Sky,” Bianca explores the plants and animals of the environment with her guide, the naturalist Fry. Fry is part of a poaching group that is enlisting Bianca’s expertise in weapon engineering. While Bianca learns more about the universe and the work she will be doing, she discovers the presence of human life, causing her to question the morality behind the illegal work she’s being asked to do. In her tour of the poacher’s camp, she witnesses the brutal way the workers kill animals in their environment and her boss’ questionable morality. As the camp’s engineer, she designs more efficient ways to capture and transport the bodies of the universe’s diverse animals.
The poachers encounter environmental advocates and experts who are developing farming and forestry methods for the unique environment in a sustainable development. After Bianca stops her boss from murdering a traveling biologist, she talks with the scientist who conveys to her the horrible environmental effects the poachers’ activities have on the ecosystem, as well as the impending doom of a town on a nearby planet, called “Lost City,” at the hands of Bianca’s boss.
Over time, Bianca begins to question the morality of the role she has taken on and the poachers’ troubling perception of the wild beasts as conquerable animatronics. When the camp is raided and her boss’ true colors are shown, she must finally follow her instincts and seek an escape path.
