A young boy in a small town lives with his parents. During the day, he must study: his mother tells him various histories, as well as Biblical stories, and he has to copy them down and remember them. But because his memory is good, he often has free time, during which he looks out the window. One day, he sees an elderly couple walking along a bridge. They take a picture of themselves, and then they strip and dive into the lake. The boy tells his parents, who say that he must have hallucinated the experience. He doesn’t know what to think. The episode makes him question the stability of the facts in his life.
