In an ambiguous land, a stillborn child comes to his mourning parents as a ghost. Despite being dead, the parents spend six years with him, treating him as they would a living child. The boy goes to school, but he is bullied by the other children and let go into the air, where he flies up into heaven. There, he meets other dead people who are astounded that he is able to communicate with the living. They give him messages to send to their living dead ones. That becomes the boy’s role: every night, he reminds people that love outlasts life.
