A young pianist who plays at a restaurant meets a young woman named Jean. The two instantly develop an intimate relationship. However, the pianist is stressed as he fears he may lose his job. One night, the pianist's boss spots the girl and falls in love. He tells the pianist to invite her to one of his parties.
The pianist, hoping this will put him in the boss' good graces so he can keep his job, tells her to go to the party. She reluctantly agrees and stays in the boss' room alone for hours. When she returns, the pianist believes she had sex with the boss and calls her a tramp. Jean instead tells her to return to the piano, and the pianist tells her that everybody who has wronged him will regret it.
