Gabe is a middle-aged American writer. When he hears that his childhood friend, Seth, has abruptly passed away, Gabe travels to Denmark to visit Seth’s ex-wife, Kirsten. Before Seth and Kirsten got married, Gabe was in love with Kirsten and had an affair with her. Seth found out after the wedding and ended their friendship. Despite the end of his marriage with Kirsten and his new marriage and child with another woman, Gabe and Seth never made up. At Kirsten’s house, Gabe and Kirsten reminisce about Seth before deciding to have sex one more time. It’s been years, so they don’t remember much about one another, but the night is still pleasant. Gabe leaves in the morning, wondering what will come next.
