Plot Summary
When she sees her husband Jack get off the train, Maisie isn't as excited as she thinks she should be. When Maisie decided she wanted to go into publishing, she knew she had to be in New York. Unfortunately, Jack's father left him a French-fry factory in Maine, so the two decided to try living apart. They spend most of the day exploring New York City together when finally Maisie brings Jack back to her friend's house where she lives. The friend, Caterina, welcomes them both warmly. Caterina and her husband go out for dinner and leave Jack and Maisie to take care of their baby. Jack and Maisie have apathetic sex and eat the dinner Maisie prepared. The next morning while the men are out Maisie talks with Caterina about her relationship. That night, Maisie starts an argument with Jack. She accuses him of being passionless and not loving her enough. When the next morning rolls around, Maisie is sorry to have argued and is also sorry that Jack has to leave. Maisie heads to work and Jack goes to the train station alone.
