In a semi-modern, yet futuristic world where aliens and alliances among aliens exist, a person with a flesh-eating disease must rely on their robot to heal them. The robot was bought from an alien world and is currently eating the person's rotting flesh so that healthy muscle can grow. The robot is supposed to be of low intelligence and obedient. The person believes that the robot is self-aware and plans to eat them entirely to replace them. These suspicions are augmented when the robot begins to take on the person's appearance. Their husband disagrees, and the lack of support from the person's family causes them to feel more helpless against the robot. Their children don't call them, and their husband appears to sleep all day. The person is also an orphan. If the person gets rid of the robot, they will die. With no other options, the person can only hope that the robot won’t devour them.
