Plot Summary
A group of people are trying to steal an emerald from a woman named Moll. They discuss the various ways they plan to do so and what they will do with the emerald. Moll is a woman who was impregnated by a moon god named Deus Lunus. The baby she gave birth to was a sentient 7,035 karat emerald. Moll hires a man named Soapbox to protect her baby emerald. Of the people that are after the foot, the one that draws the most concern for Moll is a man named Vandermaster who has stolen the foot of Mary Magdalene. Vandermaster used the foot to blow a hole in the side of Moll’s house. He tells Moll that he wishes to take the emerald so that he may live a second life. He emphasizes his desire to find love. In order to reach this, he says that he must ingest a karat of the emerald every day for 7,035 days. Soapbox pretends to be blown up from the explosion and steals the foot of Mary Magdalene. Lily, a reporter, interviews the foot of Mary Magdalene and asks if it was willingly part of Vandermaster’s schemes. The foot of Mary Magdalene says that it did not participate willingly, but that it is willing to help Moll. Vandermaster attacks the emerald after he is rejected by a woman named Lily. The foot of Mary Magdalene intervenes and crushes Vandermaster’s chest.
