Two sixteen-year-old girls have been friends since they were eight, but now that they're more than friends, they want to go to the prom together. One of the girls is terrified of how people will react if they kiss on the dance floor. At the prom, despite people's stares, the girls kiss. The girl who had been worried is surprised to find that she isn't bothered by the stares.
