In the present, a woman has two wonderful kids and a wonderful wife. However, she is not completely happy with her life. She obsessively follows The Prairie Wife, a currently closeted woman with whom she had a torrid hookup relationship during summer camp. She dislikes how The Prairie Wife has assumed a country, socially conservative persona, but deeper than that, she misses how crazy in love The Prairie Wife was with her when they were younger. She wishes that she had appreciated The Prairie Wife's love more. She simmers in her frustrations until she witnesses The Prairie Wife come out as bisexual on national television, and she decides to tell her that she was brave in a tweet. When she checks to see if there was a reply late at night, she sees that it went unanswered.
