One day, a young girl is abducted by extraterrestrial beings from her small American town. Not long after she is taken, she is returned, but without a face. The townspeople spin her in horror, trying to find an angle from which to see her face, but no such angle exists. Her mother wails. The townspeople yell up at the sky, demanding that the girl be returned to her former state, but to no avail. In the end, they decide to hide the girl in a boarded-up room where they can't see her. Following the girl's imprisonment, one of the townspeople has a nightmare about her. In it, the girl floats above them all, faceless.
