Keisha owns a thrift store and is barely making ends meet. One day her younger brother comes into the shop later with an electric smile on his face. He says he went to a rent party the previous night at a house belonging to a mysterious woman called Miss Yasmine. Keisha hasn't seen Justin this happy in years. When a few overly-happy teens come into the shop a few weeks later asking if she can hand out fliers for another Miss Yasmine Rent Party, Keisha's curiosity is piqued. At the party, Keisha notices that people on the dance floor begin to exude light. She runs out of the party in terror, unsure of what she witnessed.

Weeks later, Miss Yasmine herself arrives at Keisha's shop with a container of mac and cheese. She reveals that not everyone can see the "shedding of the weight of the world" that Keisha witnessed. She also insists that Keisha shouldn't be scared, that she should come next time and shed her own worries. Keisha listens to Miss Yasmine and comes to the next party, shedding her worries and casting it off. For once, she is finally free of her heavy grief and stress.
