Plot Summary
A man who has been in and out of prison for a while is out of prison on parole in New Jersey. He does not have much going for him at the moment, but has a girlfriend and a parole officer. He’s never been farther West than Pennsylvania, but he’s heard about Montana, and that side of the country is calling to him. One day he stumbles upon a Chrysler. He steals his girlfriend’s money, jacks the car, and heads West. He only takes the essentials and his family’s heirloom pistol. He makes it to Wisconsin and stops to refuel. It appears as though he is going to rob the gas station.
