This story chronicles the lengthy death of a young, noble girl in London, England. The story begins at a soiree thrown by the Nobel girl's mother so that she could find a fiancé. However, the noble girl does not wish to marry, as she feels it will lead to a loss of her own identity and independence. She flees the party and ends up at a goblin market where she is seduced by man who turns out to be an evil vampire. The vampire sucks her blood, therefore beginning the process of her death. The noble girl returns home emotionally and physically scarred. Her body begins to weaken and grow pale. In response, her mother calls a doctor who lies and says that the girl is only suffering from anemia. He requests a blood transfusion, and each of the girls suitors comes to give their blood, although the noble girl does not want it. Recognizing that the noble girl is becoming a vampire, her suitors and mother lock her and crypt and attempt to set the crypt on fire. However, as the flames begin to burn away her flesh, the noble girl decides that she does not want to die. That she does not deserve to die. She breaks free and decides to hunt down the vampire who turned her, and all of the men who tried to take her life.
