Isabella is alone in Las Vegas - and apparently in the world, as all humankind vanished in an instant two weeks earlier. She spends her time planning how to survive her future in an empty world, and mentally listing all the things that are gone and will never return. But as she gathers supplies in a supermarket, she encounters another person. After initially fleeing the strange man, she eventually approaches and joins up with him. Ben and Isabella travel together for a while, but Ben slowly reveals himself as a jerk - racist, sexist, and entitled. He's certain Isabella will hook up with him, given that he's literally the last man on earth. Isabelle thinks differently. Slipping away in the night, she returns to making her plans, and gets herself a nice big dog as a travel companion. She may have been desperate for human companionship, but she still has standards.
