Andrew, his wife and two kids all drive together to Green Hills Academy every morning; he and his wife teach there, and his kids attend. He loves them all and knows he's good at his job.
One day he receives an email from a old college friend, Michael, who asks if they can get a drink together. Michael has become very famous and rich, and happens to be in town for a seminar he's hosting. Andrew agrees, not knowing what to expect since they haven't talked in years.
Andrew looks back on their college years at Middlebury, when he thought that Michael was somewhat awkward. It was only after college, when they both moved to Colorado, that they became close.
At their meeting, Michael asks Andrew why he wasn't invited to Andrew's wedding. Andrew admits he thought that Michael was too famous for them.
Even though Michael seems to have it all, he is considering fathering a child as a single parent. Andrew listens but feels distant from Michael's reality. When Andrew gets home he realizes how happy he is just to be with his daughter.
