A taxi man is driving down the street when he spots a dirty girl. Taxi drivers drive past her, but the girl only raises her arm when she sees his car. Despite being wary that she'll soil the vehicle, the man decides to drive her to her destination. In the car, the girl is timid and only mutters that she is getting medicine. The taxi driver drops her off at her destination and believes he will never see the girl again. However, two days later, he spots the girl, and once again, the girl only flags down his car. The girl appears dirtier and refuses to speak during the ride. The driver drives the girl to her destinations for the rest of the summer. He begins to see the girl as a culmination of poverty and feels trapped by her. One day, as she leaves the car, the girl states that she is moving and that he has provided her with the most fun in her short lifetime. The taxi driver is shocked by the statement.
