A woman is unhappy living with her aunt, uncle, and cousin, as her cousin regularly sexually assaults her. One day, her brother visits and tells her that he plans to take her away from this life. He had left years ago, and said that he regrets not taking her with him. They embark on a new life together, where she dresses up as a boy and they rob banks. She murders her first person, a bank teller, albeit reluctantly. They get involved in a shootout at a pub and get thrown in jail. A vengeful gang break into the cells and drag her and her brother out, and they prepare to hang them both. They decide to hang her first, and the brother pleads for her life. The sheriff also pleads for her life. She tells her brother that he kept his promise to take care of her, then prays for the dust to envelop her.
