Laura, an American teenage girl, is kidnapped in an alley while coming home from work at a café. She has a flashback to a recent event at school, when an FBI agent visited the class and warned them of a serial killer called the Judge who abducts young women and rips their hearts out while they are still alive, accusing them of having the seven deadly sins in their spirits.
Laura awakes to find herself in the Judge's cage in his basement. She insults him with profanity and is hosed down and electrocuted as a punishment. She realizes that the food her gives her is drugged and designed to put her to sleep. Laura has a dream that the FBI agent tells her to resist the Judge, so on the day of her death, she makes a mock confession of her sins and pretends to drink drugged water, feigning unconsciousness. When the Judge comes to take her to her doom, she attacks him and runs.
Laura passes out before she can make it out the door of the house and wakes up on a table, where a saw is descending towards her chest. At the last possible second, the house is broken into by the FBI and the Judge is killed, as someone saw Laura through the window as she tried to make her escape. Later, at home, Laura learns that the Judge was a regular customer at the café whom she has met multiple times.
