Rhonda Longoria is a mother to her young son Travis. She and her husband, Hector, have newly moved into a community in rural Texas. Hector works at a store in town, many miles away, and Rhonda stays home taking care of Travis. They are just settling into a routine when red flyers appear on all of the mailboxes down their street with Hector’s face below the works “Sex Offender.”  This is information well known to Rhonda, as the reason for Hector’s charge is that they first had sex when she was fifteen and he was eighteen. Calls begin flooding the Longoria’s landline with threats for the family to move away. Rhonda is convinced that a specific family on their street is responsible for this blunt revelation. Hector maintains his calm and is determined to resolve the issue.  When resolution does not seem so simple, Hector confesses that he revealed himself in hopes that the annual deer harvest would distract their community. Rhonda, fearful that the harvest will become an excuse for their neighbors to misfire on her family, calls a helicopter evacuation to scare away the deer and take her family to safety.
