Scientific genius Ada creates a sophisticated AI humanoid robot in the likeness of her late brother, Zahir. Ada is annoyed at the artificial Zahir's attempts to replicate Zahir's smile. One day, Ada takes artificial Zahir to an alley behind a commercial building and they hack into the Chicago Police Department's network. The artificial Zahir downloads all of the surveillance footage on the CPD's network from the day before, during, and after Zahir's death. The artificial Zahir shows Ada the footage of Zahir's police killing. Ada orders the robot to enter the police station and take the police commander's name plate off of his desk. He is assaulted by officers in the building but easily overpowers them through his superior engineering. The artificial Zahir steals the nameplate and escapes with Ada. Ada escapes the country, leaving her creation to fight a heavily militarized police force. Ada instructs him to engage "Enter the Dragon protocol." The police force arrive and artificial Zahir begins his defense.
