A father gets a call informing him that his son was arrested in a far away town, so he goes through every effort to find him and get him back.

Plot Summary
Frank is a World War II veteran, and is not used to having to bend to authority in his old age. However he is forced to if he wants to find out where his son his being held. He had gotten a call letting him know his son, Francis, had been arrested in a town that isn't even where his college resides. So he is forced to go through a holding facility run by the military to find him, where he is dragged around by his nose in his attempts to find him. Eventually he comes to the military facility, but is left outside unable to get in. He manages to convince the guard to let him in, and once inside he begins searching. He is caught and questioned as he isn't supposed to be there. They ask his son's information so they can help "set him straight" so Frank lies and runs away. He escapes to a rooftop fire escape where he reflects on his horrifying experiences in the military, and how he later spent his time in an office trying to forget. He then begins thinking of how to escape the building from te fire escape without being shot by the officers below. Frank then meets someone on that roof who tells him Francis was indeed arrested, and that he's okay and that he had escaped. Frank asked the man to let him know that he was looking for him, and the man agrees to.
