A paralyzed young woman, an anxious young man, and a young man with an addictive personality rent a robotic surrogate body, and each gets a different high when using it. The young woman likes to push the robot to its limits; the young man likes the feeling of confidence it gives him; and the other young man like the feeling of euphoria and loss of self that being in the robot creates. However, each of the three wonder if they are also absorbing parts of the other consciousnesses left behind in the robot after every rental. The robot mainly wishes for freedom.
