A robot (called "logics") named Joe has slightly irregular dimensions that are missed during the quality control process. As a result, he is able to form a sense of self, which other logics do not. With this sense of self, he grows curious about what his limitations are. He starts broadcasting a message to humans on all their logic screens, asking them what they wanted to know. Humans start asking him things such as how to prevent infidelity or poison spouses or rob banks, and Joe provides all the answers. He spurs immense technological progress with his logical, accurate answers. However, he also causes chaos. A logics worker sets out to find him. He successfully finds Joe and shuts him down. The logics workers looks back and wonders what it would be like if he turned Joe back on, though he thinks it would be a bad idea. But what if...
