When Hayley, Abigail's daughter, becomes a victim of a mass shooting, Abigail copes by providing Hayley's pictures to a technology company in the hopes to spread awareness to gun violence. Shortly after, Abigail and her family become victims of internet trolls who use Haley's pictures, including the picture of her corpse, for horrible purposes such as pornography in order to torment the family and teach them a lesson about "weaponizing" grief.
