Plot Summary
Dr. Bell, a psychotherapist, is held at gunpoint by a Mr. Potter, who storms into his office and gives him 50 minutes to answer for his crimes. Dr. Bell tries to get more from the stranger, who exhibits signs of mental instability.
Mr. Martin Potter confesses to have stalked a beautiful actress named Katie Cook home one night after she had an appointment with Dr. Bell. When he found her dead in her house in what looked to be a suicide, Mr. Potter suspected Dr. Bell was responsible for the murder and the cover-up. He has a video of a man fitting Dr. Bell's description leaving the scene of the crime.
Dr. Bell denies having a patient named Katie Cook, but Mr. Potter points out he does have a patient named Katherine Friedman, Ms. Cook's real name. Brushing this aside, Dr. Bell accuses Mr. Potter of the murder and tells him his illicit stalking of the woman before her death would look suspicious to the police. In a panic, Mr. Potter fires a shot and runs away.
Dr. Bell races to his office to delete the angry messages from Katherine/Katie, who had threatened to report him to the board for his abusive practices. Then he calls the police.
