A six-year-old girl named Elvy has a wild fantasy about having a husband named Razor. All summer, her brother describes how their parents try to shake her from her wild beliefs. He says that his other brother, Morg, seems half-convinced by Elvy’s crazy notions. She says Razor is a lazy, awful husband and complains all day. When she claims that Razor has passed away she sobs uncontrollably and says they must pick up her children. The family gets in the wagon and pretends to play along with her fantasy for a while before their father turns back around with annoyance.
