A man living in LA meets a younger man on the web app Friendster who reminds him of his ex. They meet for a date at a summer street fair on his birthday and his attraction to the younger man diminishes (he seems boring). His friends buy him lube and condoms and restraints as a gift, and the younger man seems interested. They go to a party and do coke. The man is thinking he would have to date the boring, younger man to have sex, when the younger man asks to go to his apartment and have sex. They have sex on a couch in his home office for hours, breaking the couch. The younger man is submissive and the man plays a dominant role relatively new to him, which he finds he enjoys immensely. Afterward, the two sleep separately and he declines an invitation to go out with the younger man and his friends the next night, even though the man wants to tie him up again. The younger man tells the man he isn't open with his friends about his sex life. When they see each other in passing from then on, they have nothing more to say to one another.
