Alexis Schaitkin’s debut novel, Saint X, _is forthcoming from Celadon Books on February 18th, 2020, with seven foreign language editions to follow. Her short stories and essays have appeared in _Ecotone, Southwest Review,The Southern Review, TheNew York Times, _and elsewhere. Her fiction has been anthologized in _The Best American Short Stories _and _The Best American Nonrequired Reading. She received her MFA in fiction from the University of Virginia, where she was a Henry Hoyns Fellow. She lives in Williamstown, Massachusetts, with her husband and son.
