When the zombie apocalypse arrives, a man is prepared for it. He's carried a knife his entire life, and in the world before zombies, he would've been known as a serial killer. Now, he finds himself frustrated that the zombies finishing off the remains of humanity won't touch him. Glass won't cut him, and he suspects even suicide is beyond his reach - perhaps in a final godly punishment for the wicked. A girl asks him for help, and he murders her, but is frustrated when she rises again from the grave. At last, the man decides to embrace his fate. Traveling across the ruins of the city, he leads the living dead away from a waterfront mansion and makes it his own. He recognizes his new existence as the punishment it is and resigns himself to a world without end.
