Following the series, extraterrestrial life was discovered in a way similar to that prescribed by the show. People investigated where the series came from, but its three creators committed suicide following its release, and no other information could be known. Reflecting on the mystery of the show and the future of humanity, the journalist investigating _Invasion remembers the show’s final scene, during which Mary reassures her daughter that, in the event of an apocalypse, the universe will flood with glorious singing and wet breathing, the hallmarks of the human race.
