In contemporary New York, an omniscient starship hovers above the city. The spaceship has been crafted by the perfect, ethereal creators in the Earth’s core, where it gestated for five billion years. Composed of molten lava, the starship’s absence would cause the tectonic plates to cease shifting.
The creators constructed the starship to aid them in sustaining life. In the Earth’s galaxy, the starship can harvest hydrogen and transfer it to the creators to extend their own universe’s longevity. However, in completing this mission, the starship would have to leave Earth forever, leaving behind Abhinath, the planet’s human representative.
An unlikely friendship develops between Abhinath and the starship. Abhinath respects and humanizes the starship, advocating for its rights and attempting to persuade it to run for president. However, the starship is not interested in such opportunities. In terms of knowledge and power, it is closer to a god than a human.
Additionally, the starship has witnessed tragedy and bloodshed on Earth. It laments humanity’s missteps while recalling the glory of its creators. The starship is committed to its duty and decides it will return to its creators eventually. Since its affection for Abhinath has grown, the spaceship decides to take him with it, albeit against his will.
