Amanda Rawling becomes addicted to heroin after she runs away from home. Shortly after meeting two "angels" she becomes pregnant. Her newfound pregnancy leads her to a path to become clean and prepare for motherhood. This is cut short when she gives birth to a monster that the nurse deems unfit for Amanda to see. The nurse lies tells Amanda the baby is stillborn. Overcome with grief, Amanda throws herself from a hospital window, where unbeknownst to her, her two "angels" watching. One of these "angels", posed as Amanda's uncle, asks the nurse about Amanda and the child. When the nurse states that the child has passed, the "angel" attacks her, taking her memories through her eyes, leaving her blind and disappears without a trace. Meanwhile, her discarded baby grows stronger and hungrier for information which it gains from killing other patients in the hospital. In an attempt to understand why these horrible events continue to happen, the hospital hires a neuroscientist who Rawling's infant immediately tries to kill. In the middle of their battle, the neuroscientist throws her laptop which connects to the infant to the internet and therefore to all of us.
