Plot Summary
A female human is having endless sex with an alien in a tiny space-lifeboat. The alien is not humanoid or bipedal; it has no bones or muscles. It is covered in slime, has cilia, and its "ins" and "outs" constantly change--unlike the female human's. It is able to penetrate her a thousand different ways. The woman's space ship had collided with an alien vessel, and she and her partner, Gary, had had just enough time to claw into their space suits before the ship broke in half. While her magnetic boots clung to a part of the wreck, a piece of debris sliced through Gary's leg, and blood, fat, and muscle swelled from his suit into the vacuum. The alien's ship also broke into pieces, a lifeboat emerging from the wreck and pulling the woman in through the airlock. She has no idea why she has been saved as the alien does not speak or communicate. She tries to teach it words, but to no avail. She occasionally flashes back to happy memories, like her third date with Gary, when he fed her fresh bread on a picnic. She is momentarily grateful for the distraction of the alien as an escape from her grief. Just like the sex, her anger is endless. Eventually, the lifeboat decelerates. The airlock opens overhead, and something bipedal stands, outlines in the portal. The woman pulls herself free from the alien and climbs out.
