Lena, a thirty-year-old woman with an intellectual disability, begins to work at a Goodwill. There, she meets Bob, a forty-something-year-old who also has an intellectual disability. They begin to date and quickly fall in love. A few months pass, and Bob asks Lena to marry him. Lena's mother, Ella, is terrified of her daughter's newfound independence. Lena's father, Lou, is glad that Lena has found love. Lena and Bob decide to get married in Las Vegas and then honeymoon in Hawaii with Lena's parents. While on their honeymoon, Ella insists that Lena and Bob not share a bedroom. One day, Lena asks her mother about sex and shares that she wants to sleep in the same room as Bob. That night, Lena and Bob have sex. After helping Lena clean up a little blood, Ella and Lou are intimate for the first time in a long time.
