As she talks to her daughter, an older woman struggles to remember the details of her life. As a young girl, her father was taken by the FBI during World War II, and her and her mother was imprisoned in an internment camp in the desert. Although she was courted and fell in love with a man named Frank, she never married him. Frank went to fight in Korea and fell in love with a woman overseas. The day after she found out, she asked a different man to marry her. She gave birth to a baby who died minutes later. She donated the baby's body to science, but now regrets that she did not bury her. She had three other children, including her daughter, who visits her now.
