Bridget was a free-sprite at the age of twenty-three, when she lived in Barcelona with her friend Angela, and Angela's boyfriend. After living together for two months, Angela and her boyfriend left Barcelona to move to Canada and get married, and shortly after Bridget was brought back to Canada because her father was sick. Following her father's death, Bridget would get married, have two children and remain in Canada. Over the years, Bridget was brought back into Angela's life on few occasions. Bridget watched as her and Angela both grew older and dealt with the stress of family and married life. However, just as Bridget's life starts to improve, Angela becomes sick and begins to live a life filled with debilitating anxiety and paranoia. In the end, Bridget goes to visit Angela for the last time in an effort to convince Angela to visit a doctor. Bridget is unsuccessful. She returns to her life and reaches out to Angela a few more times, but she ultimately never hears from Angela again.
