In the far future, a young woman is driving with her wife and eldest daughter when her daughter exclaims that there are four men from Earth in their town. They go to where the men are and talk to them, revealing more details about their matriarchal society and its history. The men realize that there are no more males in the world and that this society is completely comprised of women. The protagonist and her wife feel that their presence in their town signal an impending war that they cannot win and the eventual doom of their society.
