Gene Luen Yang is a Chinese-American man. He loves the series, Avatar: The Last Airbender, so when he learned that it would be adapted into a live-action movie, he was elated. However, he later learned that the producers decided to cast white people in the movie, despite the story revolving around Asian and Inuit characters. Consequently, he asks that people boycott the movie.
