A stay-at-home dad chases his young son, Gunner, and warns him not to climb on a wall. He is jealous of his wife's exciting working life in Manhattan. She is very beautiful, and he feels that Manhattan draws her in. He often imagines her day while she's at work.

His son disobeys, climbs the wall, and falls off. The father says it is lucky that the tide wasn't all the way out and the boy didn't get swept away. The boy reaches out to help his father over the wall and the father is struck with love. At home, he makes the boy sit in a chair until his wife gets home and tells him, "Your time is not up."
