In a universe that regenerates continually, producing the exact same timeline with each big bang, humans struggle to find meaning in lives over which they have no control.

A young man gets a job working the graveyard shift at a local burger place and realizes that several of the costumers who come at night are from parallel universes. He plots to escape his world and travel across all the other universes, but there's a catch—once he leaves his home universe, he can never go back.
