Will Mackin is a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Currently he is the Perrin Moorhead Grayson and Bruns Grayson Fellow at Harvard’s Radcliffe Institute. His first book, Bring Out the Dog, won the PEN/Robert W. Bingham Prize for the best debut short story collection of 2018. When he’s not attempting to write a novel or fix his broken down truck, he works on an oil rig.
