Short stories by W. E. B. Du Bois
W. E. B. Du Bois was an American sociologist, historian, and civil rights activist. One of the leading intellectuals of his era, Du Bois was the first Black American to earn a PhD from Harvard University; he went on to become one of the founding members of the NAACP and was active in the Pan-Africanism movement for most of his life. Although Du Bois was most famed for his scholarly work, including "The Souls of Black Folk" and "Black Reconstruction in America"—writing that became seminal literature in the fields of sociology and history—Du Bois was a prolific writer, and wrote novels and poetry as well.
