In the city of Lekki on the outskirts of Lagos, Nigeria, a young woman named Treasure is trying to become famous. Treasure works as a house girl, and takes care of the homes and babies of rich people with another girl named Patience. Treasure attempts to get Patience to take more photos of her for her Instagram, but Patience is fed up with Treasure’s antics and doesn’t understand her obsession with social media. Treasure thinks about how glad she will be when she gets more followers, and how she cannot wait to be recognized. She explains to Patience that it is not important for her to know the people who follow her because they are her fans, not her friends. One of Treasure’s followers, a man with the Instagram handle @Sho4Sure, admires Treasure’s profile. When he saw Treasure, he immediately became infatuated with her. He makes his little little brother Sammy translate messages to her where he compliments her and says that he wants to get to know her. @Sho4Sure is convinced that he and Treasure are going to get married, if he could only get her to agree to meet him in real life. Treasure rarely responds to his messages, and he has no idea where to find her. Treasure and Patience sit around the estate where they work. Treasure wanders through the couple’s walk-in closet and tries on their expensive jewelry while Patience puts their baby to bed. Treasure posts a photo of herself and accidentally leaves the location on. She quickly edits it out of the post, but Patience scolds her. Treasure continues scrolling through her feed, daydreaming about what a great life she will have once she has enough followers to become an influencer. Despite Treasure editing the location out of her post, @Sho4Sure sees it before it is removed, and tells Sammy that they have to go find Treasure. They make a plan to sneak through the security at the estate where Treasure works, and steal a gun before they leave. Outside the gates, they rob a group of men of their IDs and pretend to be construction workers. They enter, and admire the beauty and wealth of the homes inside the estate walls. @Sho4Sure recognizes the house from Treasure’s Instagram, and he and Sammy knock on the door. When Treasure answers and asks if they are there to fix the air conditioning, they say yes, and she lets them inside. Once inside, Treasure realizes that the men are imposters. Sammy tells Treasure that @Sho4Sure is a fan of her Instagram, and tells her that they have come to get her so that the two of them can get married. They want to speak to Treasure’s father, and she realizes that they do not know that she is the housekeeper and not the owner of the house. She tries to distract them, but Patience charges into the room chasing the baby. Sammy, startled, shoots Patience and kills her. Sammy and @Sho4Sure run from the house, but Sammy is caught by a group of security guards. They beat Sammy until Treasure lies to the guards and helps Sammy escape. Resigned to the fact that she will have to start from scratch, Treasure deletes her Instagram.
