John D. Rockefeller sits on the Florida coast and looks over the dunes. He is eighty-six years old, and hopes to live until he's one hundred. His servant Pica takes care of him, and makes sure he eats a proper diet and exercises. He sits on the beach and waits to watch an air show. When young kids come up to him, he gives them dimes and tells them to save and invest their money like he did.
While he waits, he thinks about his dentures, which had been stolen and then returned. It was clear that Pica stole them, but John didn't realize this. Shortly after, John's doctor and two nurses come to administer laughing exercises, which are supposed to improve his health. At the end of the visit, John fires his doctor.
When the airman arrives in his biplane, John and a crowd of people on the beach watch him perform tricks and stunts. John watches the crowd, too, and then falls asleep. He is woken by Pica, who is with the airman. The airman offers to give John a plane ride, hoping for a donation from the millionaire. John accepts, despite Pica's warning that it could be dangerous. The airman gives John a piece of gum to chew and loads him into the plane. They cannot take off because of the wind, but John enjoys the gum nonetheless.
